4 Natural Anxiety Treatments I Bet You Didn’t Know About

Well, yes…I’m a psychic medium, but as many of you know, I’m also a health advisor. What I do is, as I’m doing readings, I scan your body, tell you about past injuries, some that might affect you now, and other ailments that you currently have and how to fix them. I don’t know how I do this, but I have saved people’s lives(By the way, I give that glory to God and my guides, not me.  I’m just the messenger.).

When I read for people, I usually see a pattern that we all have in today’s society: anxiety. I personally suffer from a generalized anxiety disorder myself ( i.e. cronic worry).  You know, the dumb, stupid stuff that really doesn’t matter  but you just can’t let go of. Years ago they would have called me a “worry wart.” It doesn’t even make sense half of the time. But you just can’t stop.  I know I am not alone.

Sure, take a little pill, like all Western doctors try to put down our throats.  But for me, it’s a little more complicated.  I can’t just ‘take’ anything. All anxiety medicines either 1) raise my bloodpressure, 2) make me puke, or 3) make my whole body twitch.  I’ve tried approximately 8 different types, to no avail.  So I decided to do some research for myself to look for natural alternatives.  Tried yoga(Yep, helped), meditation(helped also), but I still had some anxiety.  I searched these remedies up and found they worked just good enough to keep my anxiety down without making me a zombie.

1. Vitamin B12

B12 is needed for the creation of new cells.  Your body HAS to have it for normal function.  You can actually die if your levels are low enough.  And stress can cause leeching of this important vitamin.

As for me,I didn’t even know that I was low.  Low enough to cause me heart palpitations, and brain fog, and tingling in my hands. Older people sometimes have lower levels, and perimenopause can create issues, combined with stress.  ‘Can’t be me, I thought.  I take vitamins.’  WRONG!!!! Only a fraction of vitamins are absorbed through pill, while 98% of liquids are absorbed.   I was taking b12 liquid, but NOT ENOUGH.  I started shots from a healthcare provider and not only did it help me sleep, but kept me from ‘flying off the handle.’  B12 is great for anxiety and hormonal imbalances.  Be careful not to get too much, though.  Take to your doctor about shots.  Shots are the only thing that seems to work for me keeping up my levels.  I try to go every 1-2 months.  I notice I worry less.

2) Vitamin C

Did you know that vitamin C has a natural anti-anxiety affect? It has been proven repeatedly that high doses of vitamin C’s affects can be immediate on anxiety(go to Dr. Oz.com for more info.) Make sure you take enough.  If not, you won’t get an results.  I personally take 3000mg. in liquid form every day.  It reduces cortisol and DROPS blood pressure.  I started this and after a week, I finally slept through the night after 3 months.

3) Ashwagandha

This is a traditional Ayurvedic medicine that has been used for thousands of years.  I’ve been noticing a tremendous difference during my peri-menopause when I’ve taken it.  It’s easy to find at any drug store, and it really WORKS(at least for me).  Some people it may not work for. I guess you just have to try it.  It’s also not to be taken for extremely long amounts of time.  I’m taking it for 2-4 months, and then stop.  It seems like that helps me not get ‘immune’ to it’s effects. I then may starton it again within a few months.  I love how this medicine actually makes me happy throoughout the day. Pretty cool, and no side effects for me yet.

4)  Magnesium

Magnesium, magnesium, magnesium…….ahhhhhhhh.  This one we all have a tendency to be low on, and it is needed in our nervous systems.  I take it daily as a pill AND have an Epsom Salt bath every week.  It calms palpiations, and helps you sleep, also.  Most adults are low in it form stress, leeching it out of our bodies.

I have a couple other medicines that I was going to suggest, like Valerian(it actaully makes me hyper), so these are the ones that work for me.  Take care of yourself and experiment after getting informed.  You’ll be glad you did…..

Peace Out,

Lana
